Ekta Kapoor and team chase down the leaked copies of Udta Punjab

Earlier this week, we had reported that the controversial film Udta Punjab was passed with an A certificate and one cut by Bombay High Court until it got leaked on Wednesday. The leaked copy had all the scenes from the film that censor board wanted to be removed. As the film leaked two days prior to the official release, the whole of Udta Punjab team urged everyone to watch the film in the theatres. Ekta Kapoor and her team at Balaji Motion Pictures (who had co-produced Udta Punjab ), chased all the sites having the leaked version of Udta Punjab.She even visited a theatre after the films release to see the audiences response. When asked about the leak and how it affected the film, she said that she lost a kilo as she hardly got any sleep in those 48 hours. With the help of some of her friends and cyber cell, the team of Udta Punjab chased down the links and got them removed. The films makers had also filed a complaint with cybercrime police in Bandra.
