Lootera first look to be launched at Liberty

13 Mar 2013

The makers of the Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh starrer film Lootera have found the perfect venue to launch the first look of the film. In fact, the teams have zeroed in on one of the most celebrated theatres of Mumbai, Liberty Cinema.

News is that the cinema house which hasn't held a film festival in decades (founded in 1947, the last premiere held at the theatre was Hum Aapke Hai Kaun ), will be reviving the old school charm with Lootera. The reason behind this is that the team of the film thought that it will bring back the old world charm as the film is set in that era.

Commenting on the selection of the location, a source close to the film says, "The film's first look will be launched at Liberty Cinema, a place known for its art-deco architecture and old-world charm. The makers want to use this ambience to transport the audience into the world of Lootera. It's a period film, which is why the makers thought of the iconic theatre."

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Lootera is slated for release this July.
