Rajkumar Santoshi sues Firoz Nadiadwala for Rs. 10 crores

26 Aug 2013

The war between filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi and Firoz Nadiadwala just got bigger as now, the director has sued producer Nadiadwala for Rs. 10 crores. The filmmaker, who recently approached police for help, accused Firoz of threatening to kill him and also filed an FIR for barging into his house without permission. Also, it seems that now Rajkumar has gone a step further and has issued a public notice claiming that the producer owes him Rs. 10 crores.

The blame game started because the two friends who had come together for a three film deal which were Power, Babajaan and an untitled project parted ways after Bollywood biggies walked out of the project citing date issues. However, recently Firoz defended himself by alleging that Santoshi owes him a lump some for the project. But now, claiming it to be false, Santoshi revealed that he was supposed to receive Rs. 45 crore for the deal but was paid only Rs. 4.25 crore for Power , Rs. 91.5 lakh for Babajaan and Rs. 25 lakh for the untitled film. And hence, Santoshi now has demanded Rs. 10.24 crore and has also claimed that he has all the evidence to prove that it was because of Firoz that the project was called off.
