Picture abhi baaki hain

4 Jul 2012

Every year, the best is reserved for the second half of the year, from July to December. This year's no exception. Starting with BOL BACHCHAN, which is expected to be the next entrant to the 100 cr Club, to EK THA TIGER, Yash Chopra's next starring SRK and TALAASH, this second half of the year promises never-witnessed-before action and entertainment, besides a huge upsurge in business.

In my individualistic opinion, 2012 will witness more successes when compared to the previous years and the silver lining will be the kind of movies that are expected to explode on the silver screen. In fact, every month is packed with films and more films, starting with COCKTAIL next Friday, followed by KYAA SUPER KOOL HAI HUM, JISM 2, GANGS OF WASSEYPUR-2, EK THA TIGER, SHIRIN FARHAD KI TOH NIKAL PADI, CHASHME BADDOOR, JOKER, RAAZ-3, BARFI!, HEROINE, ENGLISH VINGLISH, ISHKQ IN PARIS, KAMAAL DHAMAAL MALAMAAL, OH MY GOD!, CHAKRAVYUH, STUDENT OF THE YEAR, AJAB GAZABB LOVE, AIYYA!, RUSH, JOLLY LLB, Yash Raj's SRK starrer, SON OF SARDAAR, TALAASH, ABCD - ANYBODY CAN DANCE, KHILADI 786, AASHIQUI-2 and DABANGG-2.

The best part is, it's an interesting bouquet of films. Besides the usual masala that remains a hot favourite, a wide variety of stories will be explored in the next six months. Films like KAHAANI, VICKY DONOR, PAAN SINGH TOMAR, ISHAQZAADE and GANGS OF WASSEYPUR have proved that the audience is in a mood to watch non-star cast films as well and one hopes that the next six months will witness a boom of interesting films.

The countdown has begun!
