CBFC clears PK trailer with Aamir Khan's nude look; gives UA certificate

27 Sep 2014

A while back the media was abuzz with reports on the nude Aamir Khan poster that was released as part of the promotions for the actor's soon to release film PK. After the release of the poster numerous people had voiced their apprehensions for Aamir's bold look, while a few took it further and even film Public Interest Litigations (PIL's) against the makers of the film for use of such profanity. Now we hear that the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the promo of the film with a 'UA' certificate.

Interestingly though, it is learnt that the said trailer featuring the scene where Aamir Khan poses nude has been cleared by the revising committee of the Censor Board. Though earlier the examining committee had rejected the film's promos due to objections from right wing groups, Leela Samson, the chairperson of CBFC, has apparently decided to take a firm stand without worrying about the moral police.

Apart from Aamir Khan, the trailer will also have Anushka Sharma in it, wherein she will be shown speaking about PK's character while trying to figure out who he actually is.

PK that is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Raj Kumar Hirani and Siddharth Roy Kapur is slated to release on December 19.
