Political party BJP to protest against YRF's Kill Dil

13 Oct 2014

The soon to release Yash Raj film Kill Dil featuring Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Govinda and Pakistani actor Ali Zafar seems to have hit yet another hurdle. After the initial reports of Cine and Television Artistes Association (CINTAA) asking Pakistani actors to enroll their name with the association in order to avoid complex situations, we hear that the film has drawn the ire of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In fact the political party took offence to the film after violation of the ceasefire by Pakistan along the Jammu and Kashmir border. Further the BJP has also warned filmmakers and production houses against working with Pakistani artistes.

Commenting on the same Sanjay Upadhyay, vice-president, BJP, Mumbai unit, said that post the state assembly elections, the party would be protesting against the release of Kill Dil as it features a Pakistani face. If that wasn't all, Upadhyay also stated that the party seeks to make the producers and directors understand that there is ample talent in the country, instead of scouting for Pakistani artistes, they should give Indian talent a chance.
