ABCD 2 shoot postponed due to visa delay

11 Nov 2014

The dance drama ABCD 2 promises to raise the level of dance a notch higher from the first instalment. While the prequel explored varied dance forms from street hip-hop to Indian Ganapati dance, the sequel will have an international platform.

Based on the real life story of the dancer named Suresh and his troupe which hails from Mumbai, ABCD 2 will be extensively shot in Las Vegas. However, now it seems that the second shoot schedule which was to be completed in these exotic foreign locations this month, have to be put on hold for a while. It seems that now they will start shooting only by the end of December. The reason behind this is said to be visa delays.

Though there were speculations that it was budget constraint that was keeping the makers from going ahead with the shoot this month, director of the film Remo D'Souza cleared the air about the same saying that none of them have got a visa and the paperwork for the same is pending too. In fact, he added that their visa interviews are yet to be completed. So according to him, it is the elongated process of acquiring a US visa that has delayed the shoot. He further also mentioned that due to this, they have decided to shoot the film in end of December which marks the celebration of Christmas and New Year due to which the prices will be way higher. Produced by UTV, ABCD 2 will star Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Lauren Gotlieb in prominent roles and Prabhu Dheva who was the main lead in the prequel is said to play a negative role in this film.
