Kalki Koechlin and Naseeruddin Shah to star in Waiting

Known for her unique choice of films, Kalki Koechlin is often appreciated for maintaining the right balance between commercial and parallel cinema. While she gained popularity as the tom boy Aditi in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani , she has recently received critical acclaim for her brilliant portrayal of cerebral palsy patient in Margarita With A Straw . Kalki is now all set to star opposite the award winning veteran Naseeruddin Shah in the upcoming film Waiting. Waiting is based on the story of two individuals who are waiting in the hospital watching their relatives suffer in coma. The two are aimless but it is the crisis situation that creates a bond between the two. Though the subject is serious as the two struggle to find an aim in life, it is being said, that the story will be treated with humour.

Waiting is directed by Anu Menon who has also directed by London, Paris, New York starring Ali Zafar and Aditi Rao Hydari.

Kalki Koechlin has previously worked with Naseeruddin Shah in the film The Girl In The Yellow Boots . The actress is currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Happy Ending which also stars Saif Ali Khan and Ileana D'Cruz and she will soon be seen with Richa Chadda in Jiah Aur Jiah .
