Youngistaan is part of the Oscars race

18 Dec 2014

" Youngistaan is a film that the world ought to watch and this will help us reach out to the world in a big way," said an excited Vashu Bhagnani as his film Youngistaan has been accepted by Academy of Motion Pictures for this year's Oscars in the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category. The official Indian entry is the Marathi film Kapus Kondyachi Goshta. Youngistaan was one of the contenders for the race for the official entry.

Bhagnani is of the opinion that the progressive theme of Youngistaan is in direct consonance with the developments within India in the last six months with the advent of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is rooting for finishing red tapism, more transparency in public life and a more vibrant India. He is planning a big release of the film in Japan (one of the locations for the film) and USA. As is the practice, Bhagnani will be hiring a professional Publicist in USA for aggressively promoting awareness about Youngistaan in USA.
