Heroine will be my best film till date - Kareena Kapoor

23 Jul 2012

Kareena Kapoor and Madhur Bhandarkar have all the right reasons to be ecstatic. First Look of their Heroine has seen widespread appreciation coming its way, and that when the theatrical promo is yet to be out. Just the poster of the film has seemingly done the trick, so much so that ever since it was released yesterday evening, social networking sites and other forums have been buzzing about the film being that one film this season which would rightly balance commercial and critical ingredients.

"Makers (Bhandarkar, UTV) have done in unveiling two different posters of the film. While the one with Kareena in a 'Halkat Jawaani' pose is bound to excite the masses, another which has a more international appeal with her in a golden dress would entice those looking for a classy touch to the proceedings", comments an expert, "The film was always meant to reach out to all segments of the audience and the start is just correct for the kind of messaging it should have conveyed."

While many in the industry has already started sending congratulatory messages to the Heroine team, Madhur is already gearing up for the huge promo launch that would take place this Wednesday.

"Response so far has been overwhelming and now I am excited to see the kind of reactions that would come for the theatrical promo. Of course we are aiming for the class as well as mass audience. The film is as commercial as it gets", says Madhur Bhandarkar.

Made in a controlled budget, despite a superstar like Kareena Kapoor heading the cast, Heroine would be aimed at multiplexes as well as single screen audience, hence aiming at being the widest ever release for a Madhur Bhandarkar directed affair.

No wonder, even Kareena is mighty excited, more so since after huge money spinners like Bodyguard and Ra.One to her credit in the recent times, she would be definitely looking at one film where she is the central protagonist.

"Yes, I truly feel that Heroine will be my best till date in terms of growth and edginess", smiles Kareena, "I think Madhur has made a hard hitting yet entertaining film. It should be a good watch for the audience."
