Will Tigmanshu Dhulia salvage Imran Khan's career?

11 Apr 2015

It's been a while since Imran Khan was seen on screen. His last few films Vishal Bhardwaj's much-hyped Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola and the Karan Johar production Gori Tere Pyar Mein were box office disasters. Films that were on the verge of going on the floors with Imran in the lead were quickly and quietly dropped. These included the much vaunted Vikramaditya Motwane directed Bhavesh Joshi Just when Imran Khan's career reached a dead-end producer Ekta Kapoor and director Tigmanshu Dhulia came forward to offer him Milan Talkies . Says Dhulia, "Every actor goes through ups and downs and it would be downright myopic to say a few failures have wiped out Imran's career. He is very talented actor. I am sure the film will bring him back into the reckoning in a big way." The film long in the pipeline about film piracy was to be originally made with Prateik Babbar in the lead. It then passed on to Saif Ali Khan. The last we heard it had gone to Varun Dhawan.

The film has now been re-titled as Bhoole Se Naam Na Lo Pyaar Ka . Would Imran Khan prove as lucky for this long-delayed project, as the project would hopefully prove for Imran.
