Omung Kumar's Mary Kom biopic has just won an award at a very cute film festival in Sweden where all the films were judged by little children.

Honoured at the Stockholm International Film Festival Junior in Sweden, the film has won for itself an all-new young audience for Priyanka Chopra who want her to visit their country at the earliest.

Still delighted by the ovation accorded to his film, director Omung Kumar says, "Stockholm had invited me to come and present Mary Kom at the Stockholm International Film Festival Junior. All the screenings were for kids from 6 to 19 years old. They just loved the film, and Priyanka." Omung had three screenings of Mary Kom in Sweden. It was then that the surprise awaited Omung and his film. Says the director, "I was supposed to come back when I came to know that the jury had awarded us the highest award at the Festival. It was the Bronze Horse Award." Omung is amazed at the reach of his Mary Kom biopic. "To be appreciated so much in a country where Indian cinema is not so popular is indeed a proud moment for India. When later, I came to know that the jury which selected my film comprised of children, I felt even happier. Because it came from the heart."
