Censor retains kisses in Ki And Ka

16 Mar 2016

Arjun Kapoor has just scored a huge victory over James Bond with the Indian Censor Board. While Daniel Craig's steamy smooches with Monica Belluci were seriously toned down by the CBFC, all of Arjun Kapoor's kissing scenes with Kareena Kapoor in the forthcoming romantic comedy Ki & Ka have been left completely intact.

The film has been granted a 'U/A' certificate. Which means children will be allowed to see Arjun Uncle kissing Kareena Aunty.

"And why not?" argues CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani when we asked him about the kissing scenes being retained. "Arjun and Kareena play a married couple, a husband and wife. It's normal to show some intimacy in a marriage. R.Balki has handled these scenes beautifully. The kissing scenes have been shot naturally, without the least amount of fuss. It would have been unjust to cut any of these aesthetically done moments of intimacy." Ki & Ka has been passed without any visual cuts and two minor verbal cuts where abusive words in English 'bastard' and 'asshole' have been deleted.
