Anu Malik and Sonu Nigam return as judges for Indian Idol season 7

After years, Sonu Nigam has decided to return as the judge of Indian Idol season 7. Sonu had previously judged a couple of seasons of this music reality show along with music composer Anu Malik but soon several others like Udit Narayan, Javed Akhtar among others became a part of the judging panel but Sonu wasn't a part of it anymore.

And now, Sonu is all set to join hands with music director Anu Malik. On the other hand, music composer Malik was a part of almost all seasons of the music reality show and in fact, the musician also went on to be a part of Asian Idol as a judge, as the only music representative from India. Sonu Nigam was previously also associated with yet another show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee TV. However, Indian Idol is known for giving the music industry some popular singers like Abhijeet Sawant, Rahul Vaidya, Prajakta Shukre and even actors like Meiyang Chang and Amit Tandon.

Sonu Nigam is known for some spectacular chartbusters like 'Tu Hi Tu' ( Dil Se ), 'Saathiya', 'Yeh Dil' ( Pardes ), 'Suraj Hua Maddam' ( Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham ), Kal Ho Naa Ho title track among others and Anu Malik has composed music for renowned films like Border, Refugee, Asoka and the recent Dum Laga Ke Haisha . While there are no details about when the seventh season will go on air, we hear that the makers are in talks with a popular Bollywood actress to join the judging panel.
