Helmed by Faruk Kabir, 'Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 Agni Pariksha' is touted as an intriguing sequel to his romantic thriller 'Khuda Haafiz', which was released on OTT streaming giant Disney Plus Hotstar in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.The first part revolved around Sameer Choudhary (Vidyut) and his mission to save his wife Nargis (Shivaleeka Oberoi), who gets trapped in the flesh trade upon her arrival in the Middle East.'Khada Haafiz Chapter 2', which was earlier slated for a June 17 release, will now hit the theatres on July 8 this year.Apart from 'Khuda Haafiz 2', Vidyut will also be seen in IB 71 and Sher Singh Raana.

Beating the uncertainties of 2020-21, Panorama Studios' Khuda Haafiz Chapter II - Agni Pariksha hit the floors with a bang and it now wraps up its schedule in Lucknow by dropping a candid picture that shows the director of the film, Faruk Kabir sitting from across the lead actor Vidyut Jammwal. The director also took to his social media and uploaded a picture of a clapboard that declared the wrap-up. His directorial has completed almost 80% of the shoot and the remaining chunk will be intensively shot in the upcoming days. Starring Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi, the upcoming movie stirs excitement among the viewers as the director and the lead actors share entertaining behind-the-scenes moments.Filmmaker, Faruk Kabir says, "I have to say that Lucknow showed us a great time. We lived like a family for almost two months. The film's team was relentless in ensuring that we finished the day's work as planned. We're happy that the schedule has concluded within the intended number of days. The second chapter outlines the intense action love story between the lead characters essayed by Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi, who are both tasked with facing challenges posed by circumstances and society.

While the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a shutdown of theatres and forced filmmakers to take to OTT platforms for releasing their projects, filmmaker-writer Faruk Kabir has no regrets. In fact, hes glad that his Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi-starrer, Khuda Haafiz released digitally. "I expected the story to resonate with the youth, but since it released on OTT, people across all age groups reached out to me and told me how the film impacted them, he says.Since the film was received well, the makers announced soon after the release that KhudaHaafiz would have a sequel. Faruk says that he always knew that the film would require a second part. He says, The story of Sameer and Nargis (the lead actors) remained unfinished at the end of the film. I had once shared the idea of a sequel with Vidyut, so that his imagination could take flight. Post the success of the film, Kumarji (Kumar Mangat, producer) was eager I carry the journey forward".Khuda Haafiz was inspired by the story of a real-life newlywed couple. Faruk says that the idea of the sequel came to his mind because of the couple and the various incidents from their life that he would like to recreate on screen. The director has about three months of writing to do before the sequel goes on the floors in April, 2021.While Khuda Haafiz was majorly shot in Uzbekistan, the location for shooting the sequel is yet to be finalised. "We might shoot the film in two different locations, says Faruk, adding that the sequel will be a bigger challenge for the lead pair and a more difficult film to approach emotionally."Talking about his lead actor, Vidyut, and the bond he shares with him, Faruk says, Our relationship goes beyond films. After a long time, Ive found a friend within the industry. Our conversations are never limited to cinema. I want to showcase the depth in his personality on screen. As far as his character in the film goes, the sequel will see him do action sequences, as thats his forte, but only as per the requirement of the character."Faruk hasnt finalised the rest of the cast yet, but reveals that there will be three-four significant secondary characters who are still being developed.
