Rupali Ganguly pens down emotional note for her 'Anupamaa' co-star Sagar Parekh

4 Oct 2023

Rupali Ganguly has penned down an emotional note for her 'Anupamaa' co-star Sagar Parekh as he bids adieu to the show. She took to her Instagram handle and shared pictures with Parekh, who played her son in the show. Along with the photos, she wrote a long message for him.Rupali wrote, "Anupamaa and her Bakuda Samar ..... one of the most beautiful mother-son bond created on television.... the very first relationship I connected to coz that was the very first promo I shot ...""Have loved this extremely detailed emotion of a mother with her favourite child .. a child who understands her, encourages her, gives her strength, holds her hand, treats her like a queen .... A son who is her world and for whom his mother is his world ...," she added."This emotion was further amplified when Saagar came in as my Samar .... Stepping into a well-established character is no easy task ... but the scenes we have done in the last few days have delightfully surprised me with the range and the emotions you have displayed as Samar.... An extremely intricate yet balanced performance in the kitchen scene totally floored me," she recalled shooting with him for the show.Ganguly continued, "It is heartbreaking and emotionally draining and exhausting as Anupamaa bids farewell to her precious child ... but my genuine love for you as a person has made it so much more believable for me to do ... Perhaps it's the final farewell of Anupama to Samar ( or maybe not ) but this bond that we have been blessed with shall forever remain ...thank you for being the beautiful soul that you are Sagar... Thank you for being Samar to my Anupamaa...She shared her best wishes and expressed her gratitude to the director, "Keep shinning always Thank you @rajan.shahi.543 for this unparalleled bond of Anupamaa and her Bakudaa ... forever grateful.. "She concluded with, "Please do watch Anupamaa @starplus 10pm everyday...All of us have put our hearts out there for you to see"Fans are surely going to miss this mother-son bond in the show. One of the social media users wrote, "I watch this show only for mother-son bond, but stopped watching completely"Another mentioned, "I cried seeing the scene! Beautiful it was.. but why they killed him"From starting her acting career at the age of 7 in her father, Anil Ganguly's film 'Saaheb' in 1885, Rupali became a household name in the television industry by playing the role of Monisha in the 2004 comedy sitcom 'Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai'. Later, she acted in 'Baa Bahoo Aur Baby', 'Parvarrish - Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi', 'Sanjivani', and many more. Now, playing Anupamaa has made her a popular face on TV and she is thankful to the makers for giving her this opportunity and for creating this on-screen bond with Sagar.

Have been quite lucky to have many hit songs: Ayushmann Khurrana on his music career

28 Jul 2023

Ayushmann Khurrana, who has made a mark for himself as a singer with big hits such as Paani Da Rang, Saadi Gali, Haareya, Nazm Nazm, Mitti Di Khushboo, to name a few, is grateful that his new single Raatan Kaaliyan is also a hit. The melodious song is being celebrated globally by the Indian and South Asian diaspora! Ayushmann collaborated with Rochak Kohli for his new track 'Raatan Kaaliyan'. Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a glimpse of the song which he captioned, "This little piece of my heart is yours from today! The brand new track #RaatanKaaliyan is now out. Tune in now. Link in bio. Ayushmann X Rochak" Gurpreet Saini and Gautam Sharma wrote the lyrics for the song 'Raatan Kaaliyan,' which features Rochak and Ayushmann's soulful vocals. In the music video, which was shot by Dar Gai, Ayushmann Khurrana also demonstrates his extraordinary talent as a performer. Sharing his feelings, Ayushmann said in a statement, Im glad that Raatan Kaaliyan is being called a hit song now and that it is getting so much love from Indians and South Asians across so many countries. The feedback and the love that Im getting from people across the world is simply overwhelming. This reminds me that I should give more time to my music and give the audience more music and hopefully they enjoy it in the years to come! The Dream Girl actor said he is lucky to have a chartbuster-filled music career. Ayushmann said, My music is a reflection of my soul and my state of mind. I believe I bare my deepest thoughts through my music and Im fortunate that people have loved my music since Paani Da Rang and the emotions that I have tried to convey through my songs. The actor added, It is the audience who make music into chartbusters. It has to appeal to their heart and speak to their mind. No amount of publicity or marketing can make a song into a hit. There is no formula for it because delivering a hit completely depends on how your song connects with the audience. I would like to believe I have been quite lucky to have many such songs. It feels amazing to have hits to my credit - be it my films or my music. I like to entertain people with my craft, as an actor and as a singer. So, I feel genuinely happy when they appeal to the widest possible audience, Ayushmann continued. Meanwhile, on the acting front, Ayushmann is all set to come up with the sequel to his hit film 'Dream Girl 2'. Recently, he shared the glimpse of his character 'Pooja' on his Instagram. The poster depicts Ayushmann in a peculiar persona. Only his face is visible to the audience as he emerges from behind a bright curtain. What actually captivates everyone's attention is Ayushmann's character Pooja's extraordinary makeover, who looks to have adopted a lovely and feminine style. The change of Ayushmann into Pooja is nothing short of magical. Fans have been left in amazement and surprise by his smooth shift between these different identities. It's a joy to watch the wonderful Ayushmann play Pooja with such aplomb. The film will be out on August 25. Earlier it was supposed to be released in July. The delay is due to the extensive VFX work required for the film. In the film, Ayushmann will be seen sharing screen space with Ananya Panday.

Fortunate that as an actor, I've not been put in a box: Bhumi

13 Jul 2023

Bollywood debut with 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' in 2015, does not like to be typecast.Im fortunate that as an actor, I have not been put in a box. I have dabbled many genres, been part of commercial as well as edgy, disruptive films and fortunate enough to find projects that try and affect social change like Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bala, Badhaai Do, etc, she said.Im glad that it has been hard to stereotype me because in this industry thats the first thing that happens to anyone. I have only tried to break the mould with every film, with every role. I like disruption. I will always look to do the same. I hate doing the routine. I hate doing similar films and roles. It doesnt creatively inspire me, she added.Bhumi has plenty of projects lined up in her kitty. She feels audiences will be pleasantly surprised to see her dabble in multiple genres in her next slate of movies. So, one can always expect the unexpected from me. The Ladykiller, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Bhakshak and my future slate of projects are extremely distinct. Each project is fresh and has a newness to them and they will enable me to showcase my craft in the best possible way, she further said. She will be seen in 'The Ladykiller' alongside Arjun Kapoor.'The Ladykiller' will chronicle the story of a small-town playboy who falls in love with a 'self-destructive beauty' as they embark on a whirlwind romance. Ajay Bahl, who previously helmed movies like 'BA Pass' and 'Section 375', has directed this film.
