Music composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani have always been vocal about their displeasure towards remixes. They even warned people against remixing their work without consent or giving incorrect credits. Attempts by a section of the music industry publishers to remake/recreate an old song by adding or changing a couple of lines, crediting the new composer for it and delinking the original composers from their actual work, was unacceptable to them. Now, their song Dus Bahane was recently recreated for the upcoming film Baaghi 3 starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor. The composer duo themself opted to recreate the song after 15 years. Talking about the same to a daily, Vishal said that this is the first time they have recreated their own song. He said that they opted to do this as a lot of the new remixes are substandard quickie jobs and have been made on low budgets and made by people who are looking to add their name to an already successful product. Vishal further said that they did not want this to happen to their creation and said that Dus Bahane 2.0 is much fresher than a lot of the music that is being made now. Vishal also said that they would not want anyone else making a remix of their song. However, the composer said that remixes can never be better than the original. Vishal had earlier in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama revealed that the recreation was a challenge for them as the song had already been shot and they had to match their composition with it. The duo retained the original voices of Shaan, KK, their own and added female vocals with Tulsi Kumar.

Musician turned mentor Shekhar Ravjiani is currently enjoying his stint in the show The Voice India Kids as he gets an opportunity to train the young and aspiring singers of the country. Now the show will turn ever more special for him as he is all set to perform with his father and veteran accordion player Hasmukh Ravjiani. Hasmukh Ravjiani and Shekhar Ravjiani are all set to come together to perform on some of Raj Kapoors iconic numbers including Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua and Mera Joota Hai Japani among others. Shekhar who is extremely excited about it also revealed that in fact, Hasmukh has played the accordion for most of Raj Kapoors songs since his music generally had the melody of the instrument. He also took this opportunity to thank his father for giving him the right training in music which has made him one of the most sought after music directors today. Shekhar Ravjiani is currently in the judging panel of The Voice India Kids along with Neeti Mohan and Shaan.

'The Voice' is one of the most watched singing reality shows on TV today. While the first season had the likes of Mika Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan and Himesh Reshammiya as its judges, the second season will reportedly see Shaan, Shekhar Ravjiani and Neeti Mohan as the judges.

Buzz is that, because the makers of the reality show did not inform Sunidhi Chauhan about Neeti Mohan replacing her as one the judges, it did not go well with her. Sunidhi Chauhan, who had reportedly asked for a fee hike in the second season, was seemingly upset when she got to know about roping in Neeti Mohan, without even informing her.

While many actors are getting into the music zone, here is one musician who is all set to turn an actor. Shekhar Ravjiani, who is known for his music that he often composes with Vishal Dadlani, will soon be making his acting debut opposite fashionista Sonam Kapoor in Neerja . Atul Kasbekar's Bling Unplugged and Fox Star Studios have come together to revive the story of the PanAm flight attendant Neerja Bhanot who is the youngest recipient of the Ashok Chakra award. Playing the lover of Neerja aka Sonam Kapoor will be Shekhar Ravjiani. Confirming the story, the spokesperson of Fox Star Studios also added that though it won't be a lengthy role, it will be a pivotal one for the film. Apparently, Neerja while working for PanAm was in love with a man in his late twenties and Shekhar will be seen in the role.

For the ones who aren't aware, Neerja Bhanot died in 1986 while saying the lives of children who were the passengers of her flight during a hijack. Also, the airhostess had a turbulent life considering her arranged marriage had gone sour and she had shifted base to Mumbai to start her life afresh. Sonam Kapoor, who is playing the protagonist in Neerja , prepared for the role by not just talking to Neerja's family and also learnt the mannerisms of the airhostess. Directed by Ram Madhvani, the film went on floors in Mumbai where a set of Boeing 747 has been recreated.

After a second win at the IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders are in high spirits and Shah Rukh Khan seems to have many big plans stored for his team in the near future. When Shekhar Ravjiani of the Vishal-Shekhar duo recently congratulated SRK and his team for the recent win, Shah Rukh tweeted back saying, "@ShekharRavjiani thank u we need a new anthem now!!!!" Shekhar replied to the message with a positive response as he wrote, "Let's do it. :)" Vishal-Shekhar who have composed music for popular Shah Rukh Khan movies including the last release Chennai Express are ready to grab this opportunity. Shekhar also stated that they have been contemplating this idea for a long time and he expressed his desire to promote the new anthem to make it a bigger success than 'Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo' .

Shah Rukh Khan is about to make a musical, Marathi debut. Music composer and singer Shekhar Ravjiani has roped him for his Marathi single, Saanvli. The song, which also features Sunidhi Chauhan, is about first love and SRK has already shot the video A source said "Shah Rukh Khan is synonymous with romance. Shekhar met him at a studio and played out the single for him. He connected with the song instantly and agreed to feature in the video." The music video has been directed by Ravi Jadhav (who has won a National Award for Natrang ) and the lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It also features a verse that reads ' Parchhayi Teri Saanvli Si, Natkhat Thodi Baavli Si '. A source added, "The revenue from this song will go to an NGO, which is another reason why SRK agreed to be a part of the project. The video will feature him reciting the verse. It was rather nice of him to make himself available to shoot the video despite his busy schedule." When contacted, Shekhar confirmed the story and said, "His thoughtfulness and love has made this video very special to me."
